WAS RICK ROSS A GOODY TWO-SHOES?
Word is that Rick Ross‘ former prison job has been confirmed. It seems that Florida gangster rapper lied about his law enforcement past.

TheSmokingGun.com has confirmed that gangsta rapper Rick Ross did, in fact, work as a prison guard at one time. Now whether he was on the up & up or he was a crooked guard remains to be brought to the forefront.

TheSmokingGun.com was gansta with their search. The site matched the Ross’s Social Security number with that of William Roberts who graduated from the Florida Department of Corrections (DoC) training academy and was assigned to Dade County’s South Florida Reception Center in December of 1995. He was 19 years old at the time. He left the job in 1997.

This world kills me. Since when it is such a crime to have a respectable job? We all know there are studio gangsters and the real deal, but since when did making your mama proud to be a legit employee become such a liability?

Rick has adamantly denied that he worked as a corrections officer and he accused other rappers of using Photoshop to put pictures of his face on another person’s body. You would think he was being accused of being a gay male escort or stripper or something. (Ooh, that visual just had me throwing up in my mouth. I still haven’t recovered from the open shirt on the BET Awards…ugh..sorry for the flashback)

Rick Ross says, “If this sh*t was real don’t you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything?” “Fake pictures are created by the fake, meant to entertain the fake.” Yeah, yeah, we’ll still buy your records, it ain’t that serious.

DMC HOSPITALIZED
One third of the legendary rap group Run-DMC is experiencing health issues, again.

Word is, that my homeboy, DMC, government name Darrel Mcdaniels was admitted to a New Jersey hospital after suffering from pain and swelling in his right arm. The doctors immediately discovered two major bloodclots. DMC is scheduled to have surgery to correct the situation. He was also scheduled to make an appearance at the AVP Beach Volleyball Tournament, which will be televised nationally on NBC.

If you’ve ever seen VH1’s “Behind the Music” on Run DMC, you’ll remember him talking about how his drinking 40’s of Old English for breakfast, lunch & dinner, caused him to have a severe setback, possibly contributing to the loss of his vocal ability.

No word yet on whether he is expected to make a full recovery, but get well wishes can be sent to his website, www.me-dmc.com. That’s my dawg, get well soon my friend.

LIL SCRAPPY STABBED AND CUFFED
Lil Scrappy caught the bad end of the blade after scrapping with his sister’s boyfriend in Atlanta.

Scrappy, government name Darryl Richardson, 24, was taken to the DeKalb County jail and released after posting $1,500 bond which I hope at this stage is chump change for him. Then again, he hasn’t had a hot single out in a minute and the label might still be recouping those expenses.

DeKalb County police spokesman Marcus Hodge broke it down by saying that Scrappy was stabbed during the fight that took place after Scrappy’s sister and her man argued. His injuries, however, weren’t serious, but since when isn’t a stabbing serious? I guess when you’re a black rapper it seems.

Scrappy was arrested and charged with felony marijuana possession, felony use of a weapon during a crime, misdemeanor obstruction of police officers and misdemeanor battery. Well, we all know how the story goes and we’ll hear it on a record soon. Que sera, sera…Have we learned nothing from history…damn!

DMX ARRESTED, AGAIN
Oh lawd, for somebody who says they don’t like prison, he sure makes it a point to visit cell block H as if it were his vacation home.

DMX was arrested at a Phoenix mall on suspicion (now you just know he’s guilty) that he gave a false name and Social Security number to a hospital to get out of paying for medical expenses.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said that when Earl Simmons, aka DMX, went to Scottsdale’s Mayo Clinic in April, he used the name “Troy Jones” and failed to pay a $7,500 bill.

DMX’s Scottsdale attorney, Cameron Morgan, declined to comment, as I’m sure he’s consumed on all of the other 900 traffic cases under his belt.

Arpaio said his office began investigating the charge following an animal neglect investigation last year at his north Phoenix home, (oh yeah, forgot about those charges). DMX was arrested in that case on felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges after authorities seized 12 pit bull dogs and dug up the remains of three others. Yeah, DUG UP THE REMAINS, PEOPLE…

DMX’s list of recent run-ins with the law is growing like crazy, including an arrest at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport earlier this month on outstanding warrants after he failed to appear in court.

The week before, he was arrested in Miami on charges of attempting to purchase cocaine and marijuana.

“He’s back in jail again,” Arpaio said. “I don’t know why judges keep letting this guy out. Every time he goes in there, he gets out on bond.

“I’m hoping this is the one time he’s going to pay the penalty for his offense,” he added.

Arpaio said the bond had not been set in the recent arrest.

If DMX remains jailed, the sheriff said he would be isolated from the rest of the inmates for his own safety. “They may not like his music.” I’m sure at this point, X can handle himself up in there, but for real y’all, how much solitary can one man take?

Seriously though, we all have a breaking point and obviously our boy X has some deep rooted issues that I hope doesn’t overwhelm hit to that point of no return….feel me?

Well, if he gets another shot and can tap into his artistic side, all of this drama will make for an incredible album, book, movie and hopefully be therapeutic for the brotha.
