This woman is a PHENOM. A PHENOM I tell you. I can’t wait to see her do The View tomorrow!

She’s takin’ Oprah’s place with blk females.

Mrs. Obama is beyond inspiration. She is carrying the torch for all of us. And yes Kamal I agree that she is becoming a new symbol for black women around the world not so much to us (although she is that too) but to others who need a representation of what a black woman is and can do.

I like it when she wears her hair like in the Colbert Report pic or Pennsylvania pic. These are very attractive looks for her. Also when she wears it up like the Puerto Rico pic. But that flip must go. I am not being juvenile. You may be the wife of the leader of the free world. You are unshering in a new view of black women. So act right. Call Andre over at Oprah’s and get right!

The black & white photo says it all for me. This is not a manufactured couple. This is not Cindy Stoneface McCain and John Stoneface McCain. This is a fullbodied Black Woman who loves her man, his mission and their children. It is the height of beauty to me.

Media is using that typical ‘black woman bitter’ stuff when they talk about her. They are not ready. But they gonna have to get ready damnit! She is an educated sharp lady that folks should be happy to have on board - get on the bus!

Tell’em kennydope. Everybody needs to stop being afraid of the strong black woman because we are not going anywhere. Go Michelle do you and don’t worry about the haters out there cause we got your back!

I’m looking forward to the View today; I think she is incredible.

I saw her speak live in Dc and she is mad cool and confident and mad slim and lean. Great figure, great speaker. I wasn’t checking for her hair.

June 18th, 2008 at 9:16 am kettleblack says:

She is a wife and mom like so many others and its a shame media tries to paint her as anything but. Just cuz she has a life and isn’t cowering behind her man with nothing to say doesn’t mean she isn’t a regular lady - i like her a lot

June 18th, 2008 at 10:26 am chica22 says:

Great point @ Kamal. She IS morphing into a mimi Oprah in someways.

I’m Tivoing The View for maybe the first time ever.

We talk a lot about how black people will feel with Obama as president and that is great! But black girls will have an amazing role model too!

June 18th, 2008 at 1:54 pm pmatters says:

I saw her on The View. She looked great and had smart answers. She seemed really personable too! Go Michelle!

The lady is pure class.

The kids are beyond cute.

June 18th, 2008 at 7:18 pm Kenneth Boston says:

I need a woman like this. In these pix you see grace, humor, empathy, fierceness, attention, imagination, dedication and over all class.

I love the picture where she’s brushing the lint of his coat.

June 18th, 2008 at 8:23 pm Regina Holloway says:

I thought she was fantastic on The View except I wish she hadn’t been so nice to Hasselbeck. I can’t stand her.

June 18th, 2008 at 9:44 pm Red Razor says:

Obama’s got himself a good woman right there.
