Mrs. Obama is beyond inspiration. She is carrying the torch for all of us. And yes Kamal I agree that she is becoming a new symbol for black women around the world not so much to us (although she is that too) but to others who need a representation of what a black woman is and can do.

I like it when she wears her hair like in the Colbert Report pic or Pennsylvania pic. These are very attractive looks for her. Also when she wears it up like the Puerto Rico pic. But that flip must go. I am not being juvenile. You may be the wife of the leader of the free world. You are unshering in a new view of black women. So act right. The black & white photo says it all for me. This is not a manufactured couple. This is not Cindy Stoneface McCain and John Stoneface McCain. This is a fullbodied Black Woman who loves her man, his mission and their children. It is the height of beauty to me.

I saw her speak live in Dc and she is mad cool and confident and mad slim and lean. Great figure, great speaker. I wasn’t checking for her hair.

She is a wife and mom like so many others and its a shame media tries to paint her as anything but. Just cuz she has a life and isn’t cowering behind her man with nothing to say doesn’t mean she isn’t a regular lady - i like her a lot
