I admit that many focus almost solely on animals, but I have not. For many years I worked on every poverty, education, diversity issue around - as well as animals. Ponder these thoughts: 1. Kindness is contagious and if someone is kind to the "lesser" beings they will also be kind to people. 2. Animals appreciate being helped and it's easier. You can save a dog, place it and know you accomplished something. You can kill yourself for years on many human issues and while something MAY be achieved - it may not. It's harder and more frustrating. 3. Animals appreciate it (again) 4 - 100. Animals appreciate it. I am one of those older white women who save animals.
