Hello UTC!
I’m here to bring some relief to your empty recession pockets. I’ll be bringing you some tips and ideas that will help you get the most bang for your bucks.
This week, let’s explore the wonders of the internet. I’ve been an internet shopper for at least the last 6 years and have had great success with it. Now, for those of you who are old school and don’t like to shop on the internet, you’re missing a huge opportunity to save money and get some great deals. A lot of companies offer extra incentives for shopping online, like an extra percentage off that they’re not giving inside stores or certain styles that are only available online. You even get advance notice of sales and online coupons. If you’re concerned with the identity theft issues, just make sure the site is secured and of course make sure that your computer security is up to par. To be honest, these days your identity could as easily be stolen walking into the store as it could be on the internet.
I’ll admit it does take a few tries to get it right with internet shopping. When it comes to sizes and fits, I suggest that you read the site descriptions well because nine out of then times, they are on point. Also, most companies have great return policies and free shipping. If you are shopping on a chain stores website, such as www.nordstrom.com, you can simply walk into the store and make your returns, no questions asked. I have even done grocery shopping online and I love it when they deliver right to my door!
Need another great incentive? When it comes to comparison shopping, you cannot beat the internet. You have thousands of stores at your fingertips and you don’t even have to get out of your pajamas! Gotta love it…
My featured site recommendation to get your deal on is The HauteLook. It is a great sight for designer goods. You sign up and they have daily sales that they alert you to for different designers. You can save up to 75% for some designers! You have a limited time to buy, so make sure to check you email for alerts. This site will also give you a look into designers that you may never have heard of. So you shop a little, you learn a little. What a concept.
So, the next time you are looking for deal, just turn on your computer ya’ll!
Here’s wishing you great fortune.
Until next time, don’t forget to LIVE A LITTLE and GET A LOT!
