Preparing For Greatness …

This year is a special year for not only sports enthusiasts, but for me, too! This will be my third time competing in the Olympic Games.

Now, as in previous Olympic years, I have shifted my focus to training hard and perfecting my race. Training is going well and I’m ready for my first meet of the season in Guadeloupe, West Indies, in early May. I will be running the 100 meter.

My usual and most comfy event is the 110 meter, but I enjoy getting in a 100 meter race when I can.

The race will be a pretty good indication of where I am, as I plan to double in the 100 meters and 110 at the end of May.

But, before all of that pops off, I’ll be headed to Chicago to participate in the Olympic Ambassador Program.

This program brings together 2008 hopefuls from various sports as an introduction and tutorial on how to represent the USA with honor.

I am really looking forward to this season and most of all the Games. I feel very confident that this will be my best year ever!

I’ll keep everyone at Urban Thought Collective up-to-date and thank you for your support.

ICON athlete Terrence Trammell began his track and field career in 2000 and has been on top of his game every since. A two-time Silver Medalist at both the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, he’s dreaming of gold in 2008. He drops in occasionally to let UTC readers know how he’s been and where he’s headed.
